I've stayed here a few times and it's always been a good experience.
AC window units are old. Our room carpet was wet with humidity. They used a shop vac to remove water, but it still came back and the odor from the bacteria or mold is bad. Other guests I spoke to had the same issue in their rooms. Proper deep carpet steam cleaning is needed. Side note: Brandon from maintenance is awesome. Other than that, rooms are clean and maid service comes daily. Friendly hotel staff. Pool room ceilings are crumbling and mold smell in that room is strong. ‼️‼️WARNING TO ALL POTENTIAL GUESTS‼️‼️ My company booked me to the Courtyard Marriott on N Mall Rd in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I checked in May 13th after 6pm. From the moment I tried to settle into the room, I have had the worst experience of my entire life. Arrival: The hostess at the desk had the best customer care. Rooms are dirty, outdated, stains on interior from the lobby to the hotel, they were ugly, not worth the stay, I will never trust this hotel with pictures online, marriot needs to restore hope to this facility, bypass this courtyard, there was mildew in my shower and it’s disgusting, staff on the other hand is great but there rooms are nasty, they don’t have tissues to blow your nose, the soap dispensers are all broken and showers are ugly
At check in the desk person was mkre interested in talking foot ball to his buddy who walked in rather than doing his job. The room SUCKED. It rained heavily and we woke up to a soaked floor and unbelievably a soaked couch due to it coming thru ceiling from the room above. Alexis at the breakfast bar needs an award for the slowest moving most inefficient person alive
