Booked a few days before V-Day. We just wanted some quietness for a night. Got there before midnight, checked in, went to the room. Hallways smelled like smoked. And we had to walk to our room because the elevator did not go up to the next floor. It made a huge drop and opened back on the first floor. Got to the room and the room wasn’t properly cleaned. I came here for my birthday weekend. The hotel is nice and the room was clean. However I’m very disappointed in the quality of service and miscommunication amongst the staff. Breakfast and the evening/lunch was closed for one of our nights of stay. I stayed 3 nights. Me and my fiancé was told by a staff member that the lunch and dinner was going to be open. My stay had a few challenges that impacted the overall experience. At check-in, my room key didn’t work, so I had to return to the front desk for a replacement. That evening, I discovered there was no hot water. I contacted the front desk and was informed the hotel was experiencing a hot water issue. I was moved to another room, but initially that room also had no hot water. After about 15 minutes, the issue was temporarily resolved. The next morning, I had breakfast at the bistro. Stayed here on Friday and had a great experience. Big thanks to David for the early check-in and a warm welcome. There was a small issue with the hot water in the morning, which I hope will be fixed, but everything else — including the personal gift bag — was lovely. Overall, a very nice stay.
