This was a wonderful, old-school shop. Google says it is temporarily closed but I walked by there yesterday and it was gutted. Maybe they are doing a complete renovation, but my suspicion is that it is gone. Jacob is not a young man and I believe he mentioned retirement when I went in there several years ago.
Contacted these folks to have two watches of mine serviced. Since they are not operating in the store right now, I am guessing due to Covid setbacks, they offered to pick up my watches. When asking them to present photo identification upon pickup, they declined to present and asked that I simply “trust“ them. Because I was not comfortable giving up my valuables to anyone without knowing so much as even a full name, I declined service in the end.
