Not my experience, but a neighbor. Old asphalt removed and aggregate base put down in preparation for paving. Then no sign of Countryside for weeks, the job is still undone. Meanwhile heavy rains are starting to erode the aggregate base. I'll need my driveway redone eventually and I will remember.
