I purchased 5 hickory planks for the shelving of our pantry make over. The wood arrived as scheduled and was mostly in good condition. One plank had some small chunks missing from one side but thankfully it was on the bottom of the shelf so I just used that one for one of the lower shelves so it couldn’t be seen. The staining and varnishing took some time but the wood was easy to work with and the grain looked very nice afterwards.
