If you have had the pleasure of strolling through Penny’s gardens then you know to expect quality and personalization when she helps you with your own garden. Penny helped me with my foundation garden a few years ago and it has matured beautifully. She has a natural talent for design and a true love for gardens! We are so fortunate to have her in Hillsborough!
I used Penny Rand to design a butterfly garden for me and she was awful. She received a deposit at our first appointment and after that it took her forever to return phone calls and emails. Also, she was not knowledgeable about certain plants that were native to the North Carolina area. She did not adhere to the design we decided upon or the plants we requested in our original design. After gardening myself for over 25 years, I could have done a better job on my own. Go with someone else!
Penny transformed our backyard space into a beautiful garden that we enjoy every day. I learned so much from working with her about how to choose plants, place them and care for them.
Penny is an artist, visionary, and knowledgeable teacher. She could see the potential in our garden well before we ever could and are so thrilled with the outcome! She designed our butterfly and pollinator gardens, stone and wooded forest walking paths. Bottom line, she knows her stuff!
