I had a psychiatry appointment on 10/11/2023. I had new insurance then and provided the new card, which they neglected to send to my new insurance. They sent it to my previous insurance and consequently received a denial letter from the old insurance. I contacted them to send the bill to the new insurance. They again neglected to do so. I realize that Olean is in a rural area, but wow. I've never felt more unheard and a number than here. The next to the last provider I saw, was for maybe 5 minutes. I was upset, bawling my eyes out, and he never asked me how I was feeling? Other than, I'll see you in 3 months? Yeah, I'm going elsewhere and I feel definitely heard and like I'm a human. So glad I'm not going there anymore. Jeez.
They helped me get into the right therapist, and have been patient with me every step of my healing journey. So thankful!
