It is important to sand and stain your house and deck to protect them from the harsh elements of Utah's four seasons. We prefer not to use chemical strippers of any kind. It was worth every penny! Our deck is over 25 years old. We'd put multiple coats of varnish and wood protecting finishes on it over the years to where it really didn't look good at all any more.
