Dr Paul Belnap... before even examining my 18 month old 45 pound dog on 8/3 decided she was having back problems and that was the reason for her lethargy and said she needed xrays. ($$$) She had just short of a 104 degree fever! she had some sort of bug which was very obvious to the vet tech who actually listened to me and requested Belnap take another look and ONLY THEN did my dog get a sort of treatment. I brought my dog Odie to VCA Cottonwood Animal Hospital at approximately 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, because he had been suffering from serious gastrointestinal symptoms since Thursday night. I paid $704.71 that morning, including $163.30 for the emergency examination, $358.94 for bloodwork, and $170.19 for a fecal parasite test. Went into the hospital for emergency care for my dog- explained the problem with my dog- There was a 2-4 hour wait time? I was told I did not have to wait there, but could come back later. The place did not look busy I was the only one there at the reception area at the time. I ended up keeping my appointment with another vet later that day. This was an absolute JOKE!
