I was given a 9K estimate by a dealership noting my transmission on my 2018 RAV4 was gone and needed to be replaced. 9K well $8551.22 was the estimate 😳🤔. My husband had work done with Durham Transmission before so we had my car towed over. Chris gave us an estimated appointment time. The crew at Durham Transmission Repair was incredibly helpful. I had issues with my car, and after a free diagnostic, they were able to help me best determine what repair route I should take. They were very forthcoming regarding the issues and cost, and even had options available to help me pay for the repair. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended.
Jody was so nice and professional. They were quick, efficient, and explained the issue to me thoroughly. It was a great experience! I can say that, even though I did not get the news I had hoped for. I recommend them to anyone!
I just can’t say enough good things about Chris and the team down at Durham Transmission Repair. First off, I took a 1989 Oldsmobile in for a rattle and most shops in the area don’t even want to work on an old car like that. So kudos to them for working on older cars. They used all of their diagnostic tools and imaging to come up with a decision that it was the flex plate (cracked) making the noise. We had a recent issue with a Nissan Rogue that was making noise and a different mechanic suggested a possible transmission problem. Chris and the team were able to identify the issue and fix the source of the noise while reassuring us that the transmission was fine with the car running great. I rarely post reviews but was very impressed and pleased with Durham Transmission and would highly recommend them.
