I could not recommend care at the Cottage Community Birth Center more. If you’re looking for an out of hospital birth, this is your place. Not only did I receive attentive, evidence based care throughout pregnancy but was able to have a water birth. Midwives Cheri and Chemin come with decades of knowledge and experience. They were able to communicate with my insurance to get a contract for my care and delivery. Chemin has delivered two of my children and truly is the best mid wife on the planet. She's not just a midwife, she's a part of our family now. Her huge heart and extensive knowledge is felt once you meet her. She loves births, the families and truly is a Mom to many in her role. If you want a midwife that shows love, is direct, and knows how to bring calm and joy to your life in such critical times, she's the one to go to.

Chemen transformed my pregnancies from surviving to thriving. After a miscarriage I was pregnant again and started to bleed and I called her to see if she recommended anything. She found my progesterone levels to be extremely low and quickly got me on a prescription to supplement my lack and my daughter was born healthy! My first pregnancy I was very sick and with her guidance I have had better pregnancies each time! She is a godsend!
I had the best experience with the birthing my twins at home I alreadyhave 2 other kids and this was the best one. Chemin was and her assistant where there in less then 20mins, they walked me through the process I left no pressure just peace with Chemin, she is full of wisdom and felt so safe with her and husband as well.
