I have been purchasing costumes from costume gallery for 20 years. The last couple years have been horrible. When I call, I wait on hold for over an hour and never get through to a customer service representative. I pay in full in January, and it is now May and still have not received all of my costumes. The only way that I find out a costume is unavailable is when I send an email asking where the costume is because we are past the expected ship date. Poor customer service, poor handling of records. Wait time on phone for a customer service rep is anywhere from 40 minutes to two hours or more. Ship dates for costumes are delayed by months. I was told costumes would be delayed multiple times with no reason why, I pressed the issue and they responded they would get back to me... and never did. This is my last year using this company. I just hope I can get the costumes I am waiting for and paid for in full by the time my dancers need them.
our dance studio has been trying to contact this business for weeks in regards to our order we have placed with them. They are not shipping out costumes we paid for, not returning phone calls, e-mails or facebook messages. Time is of the essence as it is recital time and our students need their costumes. I am currently on hold with them for almost one hour now. If you look at their facebook page, they are neglecting everyone.
I had a family of 4 students, their car was broken into just a few weeks away from our Recital. I gave this family no hope, and I myself was certainly thinking they were not going to be able to participate in the recital this year. Costume Gallery went above and beyond; they replace all of the costumes, it will be ship on time for their recital, and they picked up the cost of the replacement for this family! We ordered costumes at the end of December/ beginning of January for our ice show in early April. We contacted costume gallery to confirm shipment would occur on time on multiple occasions . We were told multiple times that our costumes would be delivered as promised. Second year with issues and I will never use them again. It is very evident that their is a lack of communication from production to customer service. I received unfinished costumes and costume gallery will not replace them AND never offered me an alternative or refund. I have to pay out of my own pocket to finish the costumes so I at least have costumes to give out to students who have pictures coming up. Such a shame for a company that does market pretty costumes.
Unsatisfactory Ordered my costumes in january, noting that the show was on May 2nd, they promised it would arrive well beforehand. April comes and goes, still no costumes. I call on the 30th and ask where my costumes are, just to find out that many pieces aren't available. They offered me different styles but of course that didn't do. I've been a loyal customer for 15 years, but this is the last time i'm ever ordering from Costume gallery.
Unprofessional and really immature. I had a horrible experience with Costume Gallery. They were unprofessional and rude. They need to realize that although they do not deal with parents, it is ultimatley the parents that buy the costumes and we do have a say in where the costumes come from.
horrible service I was excited to get there catalog tell I tried to deal with the customer service. They were rude and really unprofesional. when I had problems on there website they told me that was my problem not theres and when I tried to get help they said if I was going to complain than they wouldn't help me and hung up. I thought thats what customer service was for. I have checked other reviews and they say the same thing. I guess they don't care about there customers.
