The new policy of scanning every customer’s card at the entrance just doesn’t make sense. Not everyone is coming in to shop with a membership—some people have gift cards, just want to visit the pharmacy, or like other review mentioned, are trying to get a membership when checking out. It feels like a waste of time and honestly makes the store less welcoming. This kind of rigid policy is frustrating and definitely not customer-friendly.
My husband and I went to the Costco in Burlington to ask about the Executive Membership cashback he hadn’t received. The staff member who helped us—her name was Britt, blonde, with a very unpleasant attitude—treated us like we were bothering her just by asking questions. We felt completely disrespected. It was a simple inquiry, but the way we were treated was unacceptable and really disappointing coming from Costco.
