I bought a set of tires from Costco and brought my truck to their tire center to have them installed. During the process they broke my wheel lock key. That alone I could understand, hardware fails. What I can't understand is how they handled the situation. No accountability, no offer to make it right, and no resolution. They told me about the key. Don’t let the reviews scare you away!! I bought the tires first online before reading reviews which I never do but I didn’t realize there was a separate tire center page for Costco. Anyways after reading reviews I was terrified.. So I called and spoke on the phone to a very kind and compassionate woman named Dani. She was so reassuring of my fear due to reviews. Shoutout to the tech who was closing up shop and took the time to fix my leaking valve stem!!!! He took < 5 minutes and saved me from having to change to my spare and/or having to visit a tire shop the next day.
With an appointment it took 2 1/4 hours to have a straightforward tire repair. Would have appreciated an honest estimate of time to do the repair.
They didn’t text me after new tires were installed, didn’t answer the phone, and the tires were underinflated! As soon as we started the car, we received a psi warning.
