We stopped in for a torque check as we had tires installed at another Costco a week ago. The gentleman noticed that while the lug nuts torqued to spec, one tire was low. Being accustomed to driving older cars with tpms sensors that I havent bothered to calibrate, i had ignored our tire pressure warning light (it’s always on in the tundra and the Prius!) My husband thought that we needed new tires. We bought new tires at Costco and made an appointment for installation. While we were shopping we received a call from the tire center. The wonderful tire center representative said that we didn't need new tires! She said that our tires had plenty of, "life ", left! We received a refund for the tires. What honest, thoughtful people work there!
Costco failed me. Ordered online and made appt. Only to be told 40 minutes after dropping the car off they couldn't change my tires because of "swollen lugnuts". Add my time to stand at member services for a refund and navigating the zoo of a parking lot. Discount was cheaper, had more availability and took care of my lugnuts
