It seems like this tire department is either overworked, understaffed, or just generally unhappy— either way I feel like there’s something going on there internally that’s effecting business/services on the customer end. After changing my flat tire in the pouring rain, I came to the Costco tire center soaking wet looking for help. Ramon was helpful, empathetic, and explained the process since they could not fit me in that day. I called back the next day to make an appointment and waited patiently on hold for almost 10 minutes, then Jeff picked up the phone and was very condescending and rude when I asked about appointments. Absolutely pathetic experience. A simple tire plug and patch took over 2 and a half hours, even though I had an appointment. That’s beyond ridiculous. The poor guy at the counter is clearly overworked. he’s literally running the front desk and doing tire repairs at the same time. What kind of management thinks this is acceptable? This is a total failure of leadership. It’s obvious the management here is cutting corners and trying to save a few bucks by running the place with the bare minimum staff. It's kind of hard to believe that a company with Costco's service reputation willingly puts its name on this tire center. Really, you would think it's an entirely separate company from a service perspective. They don't answer the phone (literally), so you must make a personal trip to ask any questions or to schedule service. Actually, I should say that some, but not all services can be schedule online.
