UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGERS I have never been subject to such unprofessional treatment as in the Merced Costco store today, Sunday, 12:00 on 5/1/2011 by Winnie, the front end manager. Service is Good with the Right Management – My best friend went there and was met by a rude employee when parking in a non-zoned area, and I am glad that things changed for his experience upon talking to management about this issue.
Great Prices and customer service – I shop at many of these stores and this one is far the best. It carries items that other costco stores do not have. And the prices are just as good. There customer service is great i bought some stuff there and when i got home i noticed my M&MS were not in the bag, we called costco and they just told me to come in when i have the time and get my M&Ms. Most stores as soon as you leave the parking lot you are out of luck. Avoid if you value your life. – Incompetent personnel in the pharmacy; and then the employee lied to cover up her inability or apathy, whichever one it was. I wouldn't trust this pharmacy with meds for my dog, let alone for me or my wife or my kids. They're cheaper, but I'll pay a little more to be safe. Please think twice before going here. what they don't tell you – Costco doesn't tell you, nor is it posted anywhere in the store, if you write a check and want to return something you have to wait 10days. They run your check automatically so the money is not available in your account. However for the 1st ten day after your purchase, you can only get a COSTCO cash card for a return. I bought a Dyson vacuum. $399 plus tax. Got it home. Realized it was the wrong model. Took it back the next day. BIG SURPRISE>
Cheapest Gas In The Area! We all know what Costco is about, so no need to go into their memberships, products, etc. in too much detail. If you live anywhere nearby, it's the cheapest gas station around. The food court also has fro-yo, chicken caesar salads, chicken bakes and $1.50 polish/hot dog + drink (can't beat that meal on a budget!)
Needs improvements – I have been going to Costco for many years and I love their products...but buy them quick! There have been numerous items that I love and buy until one day they disappear! They carry items for a short time and then get rid of them. Yes, Costco has tons of stuff at great prices. But, I Don't think they hire enough cashiers. I was in line 50 minutes and It wasn't even a busy day for them. Do not go at 5:00 or on the weekend. Unless you have an afternoon to spend. Sorry Costco. But this problem is fixable.
