When you have a blown tire it’s usually pretty important to get it fixed ASAP and the guys working at a tire shop know that. So it came as a surprise to me when these guys told me it would take 5 days to contact other Costco warehouses to find a discontinued tire they didn’t have in stock. Mind you - only 3 other Costco’s were showing the tire in stock. So it’d take 5 days to contact 3 Costco’s was the story I was given…and that was just to find out if they could get it shipped! I’ve generally been very happy with Costco Tire Center in the past. The pricing is competitive, and I’ve appreciated that their tire packages include installation, rotation, and balancing. Between my household, we’ve had tires installed on five different vehicles, which shows how much trust I’ve placed in Costco over the years. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was extremely disappointing. It took two weeks just to reach someone by phone to schedule a tire rotation, and the appointment itself was set two weeks out. Waited about 20 minutes before someone could help me. Then when it was my turn they said they need to reschedule. Granted I was late by 20 minutes, but my wait time did not matter. Then it took them another 30 minutes to get me my refund on the tire order that I wanted cancelled. Guess the customers time does not matter for Costco !!!
Good experience overall. Tires were ordered and arrived on time. They even saved my tire valve caps and put new green rubber ones on while saving my metal ones.
