I recently visited the Pocatello Costco Tire Center for scheduled tire maintenance and left with serious concerns about both the customer experience and the transparency of Costco's tire warranty program. Upon arrival, the check-in process was unreasonably slow, and the staff — while clearly overwhelmed — were visibly stressed and rushed, which made for an unwelcoming interaction. My family and I were driving from Utah to Washington for a little family vacation, when we got a nail in our tire causing our whole tire to go flat. After switching to a spare, we were able to trudge to this wonderful Costco tire center, where Ricardo and Bryan were able to help us in purchasing a new tire and changing it for us. They did not complain or make us feel unwelcome, despite us arriving about 15 minutes before the store was set to close. Terrible experience today. If you didn’t have to pick a star to leave a review, I wouldn’t. Went in a couple of weeks ago and was told tires were going on sale and we should order later. Our previous set of tires, also purchased at Costco, had less than half the miles they should have for warranty, so an employee named Mike came out to measure our tread depth and give us an estimate of the warranty money we could expect back. Stopped in today to shop before traveling home to Nevada my daughter saw a screw in our tire they worked us in and made sure we were safe to get back on the road. The staff was professional and very helpful. I would recommend Costco tire center in Pocatello for tire service they were very accommodating.
I ordered tires on 6-4, they said the tires would be in on 6-10. Their computer said they came in but on 6-12 they couldn't find them so reordered them. Now the computer says they will be in on 6-18. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't already pay over $500. I doubt I will ever buy tires from Costco after this.
