I live over an hour from the Rochester, NY-Costco, shop there 10-12 times per year perhaps. I was driving to Rochester July 8, 2026. I happen to be headed to a building near Costco. About 5 miles out my tire pressure alarm went off for a front tire. I kept driving as I still had 22 psi, every mile it was dropping and by the time I pulled into Costco, it was down to 12 psi. Good price on tires, good service. But they lie about their wait times. I would appreciate them just being honest and saying it will take awhile, rather than saying it will be an hour and have that hour turn into 4. With the wait time in mind and if the time is something you have, it is worth going to them. Just do not expect it to be done in an hour. Both my wife and I bought tires from here and have had the same experience each time.

Wait times we're not accurate. I would add an hour buffer to your plan, just to be safe! I had an alignment scheduled for 2 hours after my appointment at Costco and I had to reschedule it 3 days out because of poor time management on Costco's part. Much like their products, the value is unbeatable. But it's clear appreciation for customer service affects more than the retail staff. It's also tire shop employees and most likely management considering how widespread it seems to be.

This is no fault of the employees but the Costco policy for tire installation is absolutely ridiculous they will not install tires if that rim size did not come factory. So your vehicle can come with a 16 or an 18-in wheel and you cannot switch to 17 even if they're already on the vehicle and the size is the equivalent which is the height of a tire and the width falls between the tire sizes of the 16 and 18. Service employees are rude. Pulled up to the bay and the worker rudely yells, “You cant park here! Why do you think he was beeping at you?” Sir, this is a Costco, there’s about 5,000 people in the parking lot. At any other tire place you pull up to the bay and hand your keys at the desk. Specify where you want us to go in one of your 10,000 text messages about our appointment and learn some manners on how to speak to customers. As others mentioned, be prepared to wait 2+ hours to get tires put on as well.
