I thought buying tires from Costco came with the peace of mind of their warranty. I pulled into a Knoxville location at 10:30 AM with a flat, only to be told I’d have to wait until closing time for a repair. To me, an 8-hour wait is basically a 'no.' Is this the standard now? I’m really rethinking my loyalty to Costco Tires after this.
I had thought the point of making an appointment was to save time. Nope. Not at this location’s tire center. They said they quote that an appointment has a window of 2-plus hours for new tires being installed. I responded that there doesn’t seem to be a point in making appointments then. To which he replied that without an appointment, you just take your chances on how long it will be. Be prepared to not have your car for the day or be willing to sit for 4+ hours. Ordered tires online and made an appointment. Upon arrival they said it would be up to 2.5 hours, which we thought was crazy to start with. After 3.5 hours we’re still sitting here and waiting with the 2nd 30 more minutes estimate. Worth paying a bit more and go to DiscountTire, where they truly take care of their customers and have superior service.
