I had a concerning experience with Costco Pharmacy involving a time-sensitive, hospital-directed prescription. Only part of the required medication course was dispensed. First time getting my prescription filled here did not go well at all. Had troubles transferring my prescription. I successfully transferred my prescription in person and I was told it would be ready in two hours. I took my time grocery shopping and once the two hours were up I checked in with the pharmacy and they hadn’t even started working on it. “Give me an other 30 minutes” It was ready in two hours and thirty five minutes. I called them before picking up my prescriptions just to be sure they are ready for pick up because usually, I have to wait for an hour or so coz the meds are not yet ready. So, they said YES including the prescription they did not have months ago (I asked them to call me once hey have them, of course they said yes but never happened). Have used the Costco Vancouver Downtown pharmacy for many years due to the convenience since we shop there; No issues other than some medications being out of stock sometimes which is caused by the manufacturers; not Costco. When something is out of stock, we can look at different pharmacies and if we find it, that pharmacy can request and quickly get our prescription from Costco. BTW the Costco pharmacy can be used without a Costco membership; However you must pay with cash, debit card or a Master Card.
