It's mostly hit or miss. Either they're having amazing member service day or not really. But I love costco and I will always come back because I get the best prices. I did talk to Bryan on phone yesterday and he was very helpful.
Generally speaking, it's okay, but the waiting time is too long, and the service attitude is okay.
Costco is typically known for great customer service, however, the optical division seems to operate under different standards. It has been like pulling teeth to schedule an appointment. Several calls were simply picked up and disconnected right away, after 6 attempts a person finally decides to pick up the phone. I was routed to the doctors office to schedule an appointment, voicemails don't get returned and after the 3rd attempt I just get placed on hold with no voicemail to leave. On June 4th, 2026 around 10:15 AM I went to Costco Optical department to order my contact lenses, the service was horrendous. BRYAN was the most horrible employee I have ever met. He sat down in front of his computer doing nothing. Even though I signed in, when it was my turn, he didn’t even come to help. I went to him to ask him how long it’ll take?
