I (a female) was planning on booking two nights here with my girlfriend. I was looking through reviews before booking a room, however, after seeing one specific review, I will not book here. It appears that the owner, Gary, has a problem with a male who chose to wear women’s clothing, makeup and a wig. In the Gary’s reply to this guest’s review, he said “The male guest changed into womens' clothing and paraded through the complex in a wig and makeup.” Why is this relevant? Is it a problem? My wife and I will definitely be coming back.. we just had our best stay on the coast, Hosts Gary and Helen are one in a million.. nothing's a bother ,always pointing us in great places to visit. Being so close to everything Costa D'Ora is only a 8 minute walk to Cavill Avenues night life or 2 minute lightrail ride with the Surfers Paradise station just around the corner.Thanks Gary and Helen for a lovely weeks stay we will b back..Dean &Sarah.....
Very disappointed that Gary stopped one of my visitors, claiming that I can’t have guests because it might scare the elderly residents. If they want tighter security, they shouldn’t allow short-term rentals—just long-term leases. I had no idea Gary would be watching guests like a hawk. Never again.
