As of the most recent management, things have improved significantly at Cortland at the Nations. Communication has improved. The new manager in charge is friendly and is putting forth an effort to know the residents here; event schedules are seemingly more organized, occurring more frequently compared to the past few months. However, I would like to see more events that encourage socialization with residents, such as paint and sips, tastings (ie. coffee, tea, beer, whiskey, etc) and game nights that occur at hours residents ... read more

UPDATE: Things have improved significantly over the last couple of weeks. It seems like the new team in place is finding their footing, which is awesome. Looking back, I think a lot of these issues we were experiencing were the result of issues at the corporate level. Updated to 4 stars. I still really hate the new lighting, which a lot of other residents have expressed concern over, but it is what it is, I guess. UPDATE: Updated Star rating from 5 to 2. Lived here for a few months so far and I love it. Pros: It's a very quiet apartment complex. The walls seem to be well insulated so you can't hear your neighbors, even if they're having a party next door (which has happened). The office staff is very helpful. JoJo is very nice and helpful. Maintenance is kind and timely. The gym is always clean and has everything you need and nothing you don't. They host events there and are very welcoming and pet friendly. I had a great tour with the property manager Chanel! She was incredibly helpful and took the time to answer all of my silly questions. The community was very clean, which is always a huge factor for me. I was also impressed that they were able to fit me in as a walk in and were happy to do so. Chanel’s attitude alone sets this community apart.
