It broke my heart to have my Granny there! I visited my grandmother fairly regularly while she lived at this facility. 99% of the time, there was a pungent smell of urine in the air so bad you wanted to cover your nose. I arrived one time to find her covered in her own excrement, as her colostomy bag was overfull and she told me that she had rung for the nurse a long time ago, but they must be busy. Corry manor is a 121 bed Nursing facility that offers round-the-clock care for elderly or disabled persons,along with other services,such as physical therapy,and short-term care for rehabilitation purposes. The nurses think they are too good to get their hands dirty helping the nursing assistants,and mainly only pass meds and do treatments, and paperwork.There are a lot of good nursing assistants there,but also a lot who ignore ringing bells.I timed it on one occasion,and the bell for a certain... read more
The best place I have seen! I had my mom in Corry Manor for short term rehab and she loved it! Was it perfect?...no Was it better than other facilities? Oh my yes! When my mom had a stroke three weeks after going home from the Manor she made me promise to take her back and I did for her last days! I loved my mom and would not take her to a place that is bad.
