A True Physician – I hate to see people complain about waiting to see Dr. Thal. I have places to go and things to do, but my health comes first. I would spend time or money to see her. The bottom line is that she cares. She will get to the bottom of things. It will be well worth the few minutes or time or the few dollars to protect and supervise my health and well being. Old Fashioned but Effective Medicine. – I had patronized Corrales Family Practice for almost a decade. Its old fashioned medicine, that takes more than 10 minutes . She takes her time to understand you and your health issues. I would wait for hours to see her and think it was worth it. My mother-in-law had a botched Cancer removal procedure even though she doesn’t specialize in Cancer. Overall Good Doctor but with Some Office Issues – I've been a patient at this office for 5 years or so. To establish her as a primary care physician (PCP) took a 6-month wait for an appointment, HOWEVER, this is actually very typical for health care in NM. If you are from a more progressive area like Denver, be prepared for long waits to drive you crazy with any health provider or any issue. Horrible – Scheduled appointment months in advance. New doctor (PA) in the office. I waited in the office for over 3 hours for my scheduled appointment, then another 45 minutes in the back. When the doctor arrived, she had no idea who I was, what my history was, has never looked at my chart, but diagnosed me without so much as a touch. Gave me a stack of tests to go to, even though I had just been tested for the same tests within the last year. Dr. Thal looks at your whole health picture. She believes in preventing illness. She is through. – Dr. Thal and her staff are friendly and and the office is a house, not a steril looking building. Sometimes I've had to wait as I realize she takes time with her patients and even writes out a sheet of what patients need to do and sends it with them. Waited for hours – Every appointment I had at this office, I sat in the wating room for NO LESS than one hour before I was brought back to an exam room. The front desk staff do not appear knowledgeable. My name was misspelled on my file, even though it was clearly printed on my insurance card and handwritten very clearly by myself on all my intake forms.
