Unfortunately, my experiences with Cornwall Community Hospital have been consistently disappointing. I try to avoid seeking care there whenever possible. If I can make the trip, I’ll go to Ottawa or Hawkesbury instead. The biggest issues I’ve encountered are long wait times, what appears to be chronic understaffing, and rushed care. Doctors often seem to breeze through check-ins, and nurses frequently appear overworked and, at times, unapproachable. If you require any sort of emergency care, definitely do NOT come here. We have been waiting for 6 hours to see a doctor for my 1 year old, who is running a high fever and is clearly in distress. We haven’t even been able to speak to a nurse yet, only triage. The staff have zero compassion or empathy.
