This office is highly regimented with what they can do and can't do for you, and the vet techs, and office staff are abrasive in relaying this. Can't do vaccinations without examinations; can only do vaccinations in vaccination time slots. There are only a few of these per week. Must do blood draws to do vaccinations. My boyfriend and I took our dog there one day to get his paw looked at and get a check up, that was fine and dandy they did everything they wanted to and charged us like crazy. Within a week we decided to take him in for a grooming, that alone was absolutely horrible. But on top of that, they decided on their own that they would do a check up and charge us for medicine and things we did not expect. I took my dog to be boarded. And told the staff in charge that he might be scared and to be left alone or will become defensive and bite. Just feed and water him. Well, I don't know what she was thinking, upon coming back from vacation, I was told that he bit the staff while they were walking him, when I could have not stressed more DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT WALK for both their safety. I have been a client of Corning Animal Hospital for 10 years and they are great! I have been in when an animal has come in with a true emergency and they are extremely compassionate to the animal and it's people. They also try to keep waiting clients informed of the wait time and offer to reschedule for another time or make arrangements to see the pet after the emergency is taken care of. As far as requiring a notice to fill or call in a prescription, I don't know any place (Doctor or Veterinary) that can process the request... read more
