BEWARE THE VALET!! Just a heads up to anyone thinking about valeting at 1919 Wine & Mixology/Corner Table: My mom went here recently and discovered that one of the valets had been driving her car around town; a whole 1/4 tank of gas gone! 1919 refused to do anything about it; their loophole out of accountability for the valet company that they allow to valet their clients' cars is that "they're an independent company." This place is awesome! Beautiful ambiance. High energy. The food was awesome! I was there with my friends last night and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We frequent many Top Ten Houston Restaurants. On today's restaurant scene it doesn't get better than Corner Table.
WARNING - DO NOT VALET HERE!!! I dined in Corner Table at lunchtime yesterday for the first time. The restaurant is gorgeous, food/wine is delicious and the staff is attentive. There was a nice mix of people and everything was fine until I walked outside to get my vehicle from the valet. Earlier in the week my insurance agent told me the valet at Corner Table had damaged both sides of their policyholder's car.
