We went there in the morning, had some coffee and ice cream. In the morning there were no queues; when we passed in the afternoon, it was very crowded . The ice was ok, but I can’t see why this gets so high praise. It didn’t seem remarkable.
Cornell Dairy Bar is a MUST for Ithaca visitors. There is indoor and outdoor seating as well as a parking lot next to the building. The staff are very efficient and the line moves very fast. My friend and I ordered the Cookie Dough and Caramel Three Chimes. Both were amazing! The ice cream was so fresh, it tasted like the milk was squeezed from the cow to make the ice cream minutes before we arrived. If ice cream is not your fancy, the dairy bar also sells other desserts such as muffins and cookies.
