Why close the bathrooms? Lazy park employees

Solid Lower East Side spot. Views of the Williamsburg Bridge and Brooklyn waterfront are the main draw. Dog run has spray nozzles which is nice. Bathrooms are actually decent and open late. Some construction going on for flood control, so parts are fenced off, but still plenty of room. Connected to East River Park by a bridge now. Good for a few hours.
