I was initially hesitant to have an endoscopy because of the reviews on this page. But I wanted to add that my experience with Dr Corkum was nothing but professional. The only trouble I had was with the scheduling office as they do not communicate well, but once you are able to get through and book your appointments, things go swimmingly. The staff the day of the procedure was great too; all of the nurses, anesthesiologist and Dr Corkum made me feel comfortable and moved the process along swiftly. Office receptionist who makes appointments is lovely and caring, follows through. Physician’s assistant also responsive and caring. However the fact I reminded them there were challenges placing IV 5 yrs ago and there were no active notes about it that they referenced when I asked about it before procedure scheduled tomorrow, and Dr assured me they could handle it yesterday, my procedure was cancelled early this morning. I had an AWFUL experience for my first colonoscopy and endoscopy. After waiting an hour and half after my scheduled appointment time, I had woken up from anesthesia with one of my teeth missing!!! Dr. Corkum was very cold and unwelcoming, didn’t say a word to me before going under, and I don’t even remember him talking to me afterwards. Thankfully my mother came back to listen to what they had to say about the procedure. I would like to say that I had an appointment with Dr. Corkum as a new patient. I found his staff to be very courteous and professional, they were very friendly and outgoing to me. Dr. Corkum was so very awesome and professional with excellent manners. He took his time and explained everything in great detail. I had a test done and he said he would call me as soon as he received the results and he did just that. I truly love how the staff and Dr. Corkum treated me, thumbs up for all of them!!!
