My father was a patient of Dr. Puzio's. He was elderly with a tumor in his urethra. I asked for treatment for him and she flatly told me he was too old and a poor risk. She never mentioned other options like radiation that were much less invasive and he probably could have done. She was very negative and robotic. My father passed 4 years later frim metastatic cancer. It is my belief that had she made some recommendations, other than to do nothing, he would still be here and not have suffered. I have been seeing Dr Puzio over 6 years for prostate and blood in the urine. She is very thorough, explains everything very well and takes my thoughts into consideration . I feel very fortunate to have her as my urologist.
Dr. Puzio is excellent However…. The medical staff is in desperate need of education! Receptionist handed my mom a urine cup with wipes and no instructions! The medical assistant proceeded to do a bladder scan on my mom with no explanation as to what she was doing, why she was doing it, or what “residual” meant! Terrible!
