I strongly encourage anyone to reconsider banking with Core Bank if they expect any modern amenities or conveniences in their banking. I actually lost money with a CD through Core Bank. I tried to help out a local bank, but every step of the way, from opening the CD to finally closing it and getting my money transferred back to me, was inconceivably difficult given today’s technology and other banks’ practices. I went down on a Saturday. There were 2 bankers/tellers working. I had my wife and 3 kids with me. No one else there when we arrived. Mentioned interest in opening 3 accounts, standard, money-market savings and a 9-month CD. Had cash in hand to do all three. We sat down and started the process.
