I am the full time father of three going through a divorce. We moved to Oregon from Idaho. Idaho ruled that Oregon had jurisdiction for the divorce. My ex appealed that decision and I retained this firm. They were very hard to keep in contact with and i seemed to have to suggest things to file and how to fight the appeal so that they knew what direction to take. Avoid using Cordell and Cordell at all costs. Their incompetence as to proper procedures and processes added months of time and thousands of dollars and they still got it wrong in the end. To top it off they then compared our child custody issue to a criminal car salesman…. Look up their complaints on BBB I wish I had before flushing money down this toilet of a practice.

My son was searching for legal counsel to help him finally deal with his ex-wife related to the visitation with his children and to get his ex to work with him as far as better communication on topics related to the children. I invested several years and many thousands of dollars in Kristin Zurek and in Cordell & Cordell. They advertised themselves as lawyers dads can count on. But both behaved unethically and unprofessionally. As my case drew to a close, I raised concerns with Kristin about the quality of legal services I had received. In short, the judge’s position contradicted the vast majority of Kristin’s legal advice. Avoid this firm they are just there to drain you of all your money. My attorney did absolutely nothing to try and settle my case. After firing them a settlement offer was made by my new lawyer. They want to drag out the case so they can get paid. And they will offer money so you can’t leave truthful reviews. I was offered a whole $52.00 for a phone call they billed me for after I fired the lawyer. So I am donating that $52 to the firm so I can hopefully save another person from making the mistake I made hiring them. As

🫤. Actually no stars. Too bad I had to put even one. Waste of time and money to use this firm. Don’t waste either.. It has been a completely lousy experience for the last 3 years of my life. Ultra charges for every little thing. I am being charged $320.00 per hour. Most of it is for nothing. Every single email or call charged at that rate. I highly recommend you move on. Do not use this law firm. $70,000 before I was done. I was originally told $2,500 for my divorce. Stay away!! Don’t end up like me.
HORRIBLE AND OVERPRICED! Had Kristen for a year and a half and still not even visitation set up for my son. Did not fight for me at all. I felt like she was on the mother's side. Paid $6000 still nothing set. Two week notice she wanted another $5000 and felt like she hadn't gotten anything done!!!!! Could have gotten a much cheaper lawyer with better results or at least some results.
Worst mistake of my life! They gave me a rookie attorney who didn't know the procedures of my county. Costing me thousands extra a month. Stay away from this franchise and get a local attorney!
