The hosts could not have been more helpful. Highly recommend this place purely on the hospitality shown to us. The motel is a little on the old side, but clean and very handy to great restaurants.
Standard room, owner was very helpful at reception, showed us to our room and carpark, is right next to the Hot Wok Chinese restaurant, right in middle of Mackay city and very close to Caneland shopping centre.
Rooms are Simple, clean and cheap. Shower hot and great pressure. Bed is comfortable. For me, for an overnighter, perfect. Staff were wonderful. Chinese restaurant basically attached ( Hot Wok) was fantastic. Close to city centre.
Coral Sands Hotel/Motel in Mackay is a great no-fuss place to stay if you just want somewhere clean, tidy and comfortable without paying a fortune. It’s nothing flash, but it has everything you need for a good overnight stay or a few nights away. The room was neat, the bed was comfortable, there was a decent chair to sit in and relax, plus the handy extras like tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge for your food and drinks.
