Established in 1883. Bisbee's first hospital was established in 1883 and went through many changes over the years. In 1961 Phelps Dodge opened the current site of the hospital today on Bisbee Rd. and Cole Ave. In 2012 Copper Queen Community Hospital completed an Emergency Department and Renovation Project of the current space, doubling in size. CQCH has also opened three rural health clinics to serve Cochise County over the years in Douglas, Bisbee and Palominas-Hereford.

We arrived at emergency about 6:00 p.m., with only a few other patients before us. Within moments a nurse had a wheelchair at the curb to help us with Dad. The staff had him in a room and started care immediately. Nurses, phleb, x-ray and the attending doctor were kind, professional, and their bedside manner actually had Dad laughing! Every test and examination was explained beforehand and conducted with compassion. Copper Queen emergency staff; 5 Stars
Under the circumstances, this was by far the BEST hospital visit I’ve ever had. From the young ladies at the front desk, to my nurse Renee , the doctor , and the gentleman that took my CAT scan. Everyone, I mean EVERYONE, was so wonderfully kind and efficient. I Was in and out with exceptional service. A big thanks to Renne and ALL the staff at Copper Queen Community Hospital. Great hospital and fantastic staff! Had to make a trip into the ER recently, and the staff were friendly and caring with everyone who cared for me dr. Waytuk and his staff, the radiology team, and everyone else who was able to get me fixed up enough to go home and heal up. I was even able to get in to see my primary care in the Palominas Clinic within less than 48 hours. Went here for my diagnostic surgery by Dr. Nieto. From beginning to end, every single staff member was caring and made me feel at ease. The nurses constantly made sure I was comfortable and had enough hot blankets, the anesthesiologist (Jim?) put my mind at ease and told me to think about my dogs :), and of course Dr. Nieto did an amazing job. After I woke up she showed me they found endometriosis and showed me pictures. She went through everything they found and made sure I had all my questions answered. 10/10 would recomme... read more
