Copper Peak is the largest artificial ski jump in the world, and the largest ski jump in North America. The 35 degree, 469 foot, cantilevered inrun was constructed using 300 tons of COR-TEN steel in 1969 at a cost of just over $1 million. Today, visitors can ride an 800-foot chairlift and a 18-story elevator to an observation deck, then walk 8 flights to the top of Copper Peak for one of the most stunning views in the Midwest. An amazing view and an all around fun experience. Chair lift ride then an elevator, then steps to the very top. I would definitely recommend.
Closed due to construction and only open on Sunday. They need to get the word out and not waste time going there only to be turned around.
