These guys saved my vacation. The first day of my vacation this summer was great, the second day started just as nice until something broke in my outdrive stranding my family & I miles from the dock. I got towed back to the dock and got it back on the trailer and was in Cope Marine's parking lot be noon. The service manager had he mechanic start on my boat within minutes after he heard we were on vacation. Bought a boat from them in 2009. This is the 3rd boat Ive purchased from them, although the other two came from their store in OFallon, IL. I dont worry too much about the boat salesmans knowledge as Ive done my homework and know what I want, but Ive been boating for 20 years. My interest is in price and Ive gotten the price I was after each time. They have had a difficult time keeping employees, but that is probably related to OFallon Illinois management. They are by far one of THE best places to buy what you need for your lake adventure. If they dont have the item you want they go out of their way to get it for you, they did for me and my family. I recommend whether you fish or play on the lake to stop by when you need anything.
I really can't believe these guys are still in business. They don't know their product line. They don't have much inventory. They don't know what a trade is worth even after its been looked over by a salesman. They don't know how to service a boat after it sold. They can't answer questions on a boat they previously sold, and every time you stop by they have the sales guys act like their the smartest guy and you're a idiot that should grovel at their all knowing boat expertise.....Save yourself a lesson in anger management an... read more
