Gave me horrible run around about my father’s death certificate. Horrible. In ny you get rights of survivorship depending on title language. I am 100% owner on my car and they gave me endless runaround trying to sell my car with them. Sold it to another unit without any of these issues. They outsource labor to a call center out of the country where they don’t understand the laws etc.

Copart is the worst people to ever do business with. They charge you for everything. They will randomly add storage fees after you pay for delivery. I paid on January the 30th 2026 and now it’s February 4th I’m being charged fees when I have proof that I had a zero balance. By the 30th I was told that once you paid for transportation the storage fees stop. Which is a lie because they never stop you pay for the entire car the transportation and they hold your car hostage so as to add more storage fees.
The vehicle is in OWNER RETAIN status - you won’t be able pick up the car after 4 PM here
They have the worst yard in the whole country I asked for a delivery for a 5days they can’t find me a driver not only that I went there to pick up my vehicle for 5 hours I can’t get help All the staffs over there are so unprofessional & mean
