Beware! My son joined month to month. When we called to cancel, we were told we had to send a certified letter to some company. It's ridiculous!!!

Not impressed with trainers or facilities. Joined on a month to month and when I decided to go elsewhere found out I had to send a CERTIFIED letter to another company that handles their memberships in order to cancel. Of course they continue to bill you while this letter makes the rounds. Of coursethis requirement is in the "fine print" of the contract you sign. When I prejoined Coops, I was given six personal training sessions. These went well, and I signed a contract with my trainer for six more sessions to be completed in about 8 weeks. The first few went fine; then my trainer started rescheduling the sessions.....once or twice not even showing up. This was the case on the day my final session was scheduled. I joined Coops in May 2007 and received some free training sessions with the plan I chose. I enjoyed the training sessions enough to buy six additional ones. My trainer and I signed a contract on May 18, 2007 stating that we would be finished by July 9, 2007 "at the latest" (her words). I had finished five sessions, two of which she rescheduled to a later date. On July 9, I went for my last session, but my trainer never showed up.
