I am extremely disappointed in the way District Attorney Noel Cooper has handled cases in Nacogdoches County. Mr. Berry is a legally blind Black man with severe mental illness. There is no DNA, fingerprint, or physical evidence linking him to the crime he was accused of. Surveillance video shows he never entered the residence. Mr. Cooper acts as if it's a bother if your locked up if you want to have an in person visit with him before your court date to reduce your bond. He will eventually return your calls but he will treat you rudely and act like he Could care less if you may have something to tell him that could help your case.
