As well as the star gazing, we also attended the tour of the Siding Springs Observatory. We found Brainioc to be extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions. I would definitely recommend both the tour and the star gazing.
Unfortunately it was cancelled just hours before it was supposed to start. With nothing else to do in the area it's too great a gamble to travel 6hour inland for unless you happen to be passing through to somewhere else.

Attended the experience last night (16 July) and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Branioc is a pleasant and personable young man who really knows his universe. Don't forget to rug up.... really rug up.
