Travelled with friends. Basic room, shower has mould around edges. Friends unit had strong cigarette smell. Whole complex needs maintenance. On busy road. One night was enough! Cheap price though so pay for what you get

After a 17 hour drive, pulling into cool palms motel was a blessing. We were greeted by Ben, the Manager with a huge smile on his face and so so welcoming. Cool Palms motel isn’t a big Best western motel it’s just a simple motel with a super comfy bed, huge smart tv, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, a kitchenette, fridge and ensuite, dinning room and chairs and very spacious and very very clean. First thing we noticed is months of dust build up on the fan. There was smokers right outside our windows -smelt like they were smoking in the room. When looking around we noticed everything was quite dirty. Smokers smoked the whole afternoon and night. Saw reception the next day and said we’d prefer to move on. No refund for second night. They told us they would clean it for us then and there but we didn’t want all that dust all over our luggage. Reception quite rude.
