Came in with severe stomach cramps in the middle of the night. Was seen to immediately by a nice, professional nurse and doctor. I ended up needing to stay for 24hr in which time I was fed and watered, tended to regularly, and updated about my illness. The cherry on top was not having to pay a cent for all of that. Couldn't ask for better treatment. Thank you Cooktown hospital workers.

Can’t express enough gratitude for the care I received late October. Headed north for a fishing trip when I fell ill. The team of nurses, doctors and staff were incredibly professional and helpful. Thank you for your care on the day!

I went into emergency on 6/8/25 with sever stomach pains …. With limited facilities they did everything they possibly could . A few days days later they called with blood results which weren’t good . There care , professionalism & communication were second to none , they passed all the details onto to next hospital. They deserve more credit than our public hospitals get ( I also work in health ) . Would not hesitate to go back again if needed . Well done all the staff there .
