We bought a house in Muldrow, OK before our property in Hot Springs sold. Cookson charged us $800 for the deposit. We have lived in 5 states and never paid our bills late. Such a high dollar amount for the deposit was ridiculous. We were fortunate in the respect that we were able to pay that amount. but so many people would struggle with $800 . The fact is, you don't pay, it gets shut off. No need for such high dollar deposits.

I'm not the first person to leave a review stating this company price gouges. I am probably going to be the first one to prove it though, and not only recommend, but encourage all people who interact with this company to start looking into their bills. When my household was paying monthly instead of prepaid, we were paying between $0.08 and $0.10 per kilowatt of electricity depending on how much we used that month.
