I should have left a review a while ago.. I most definitely have to brag about my daughter’s rheumatologist, Dr Guirola.. our daughter has an auto inflammatory disease that’s still new, still rare, still being researched (genetic). We gave Dr G our trust, which is hard for me to do sometimes, he has taken such good care of our little girl. I love how good Dr G is with her, he is so determined to make sure she is staying her healthy self!! My daughter ran a fever for 77 days! Everything about our experience with Cook's Children's Rheumatology has been positive. We saw Dr. Perez for our toddler and she was as thorough with her exam as she was pleasant and informative. My husband and I genuinely felt she had our sons best interest when it came to diagnosing and formulating a treatment plan which is such a relief. I also want to add, the lab staff was AMAZING as well. Our son didn't cry or even flinch when getting bloodwork done.
Dr. G was great. We waited several months to get it, but it was worth the wait. He listened to our concerns, asked a lot of questions, and made sure I understood everything. The office staff was all very kind as well.
Dr. Guiola and his staff were absolutely amazing! They were all very knowledgeable about my daughter's conditions. He listened, encouraged, validated, and advocated for her. She left appointment in tears of joy, after being dismissed by so many doctors. He is restoring our faith in doctors again!
