Absolutely terrible new patient policy! Regardless of how long you have been living with type 1 diabetes, they force you to go through a nutritionist and a dietician as well no matter what - no matter how low your A1C is and how well you have been managing it. It's insulting and frustrating and it's so they can bill not just 1 appointment - but all 3 appointments. If I had any other choice, I would go somewhere else, but we are stuck based on location.

I believe that the psychiatric dr Hari K part of cooks children is below standard. . They are quick to categorize your child as just a number $$$ they don't want to work with parents It's more do what I say and that's it and there's no use of asking the patient advocate they're too afraid to say anything to the doctor even if they lie. This is a quote from a patient advocate anything they write down is true even though I can testify that's not accurate......

Cooks children hospital is an amazing hospital, we had the joy of having Adrian as our nurse. Her personality and they way she engaged with my daughter made her feel very comfortable which lead to my daughter opening up to her.. she has the greatest personality and has a loving heart to understand her patient’s... she deserves 5 star’s. Thank you..

I will keep only facts in this review. Took my 4 year old to ER with severe abdominal pain and major gastric issues. She was to the point that she would cry out in pain. We took her to the Primary Care doctor with Cooks 3 times within a week and nothing was figured out so we finally took her to ER. Not a single person touched the child in triage, assessment, or anywhere else except to take vitals. Nobody checked her abdomen at any point.
