Less posh/poseur than Bondi, Coogee Beach is our home for 2 nights, and nowhere is more central than Coogee Bay Hotel. We initially wanted to book the Bay Suite overlooking the beach but instead stayed at the newer wing for its (relative) peacefulness. Our Boutique Ocean Studio is huge and comes with a sofa bed and a bathtub although the beach is in the distance. It was in a great position and our room and the facilities were above expectations and the staff, very helpful and friendly. We would go back again in a heartbeat when we're back in the area.
It's so easy to stay here, with clean, spacious rooms and an excellent location. Breakfast - a bit crap - give that a miss, but all else is lovely! Love it!
Room 309. Bedroom furnishings lovely, very clean room overall. Bathroom a decent size but sink has been pushed into a small space and very little surface space in the bathroom to rest things on. Thankfully bedroom is spacious which almost makes up for it. Shower head not really adjustable which is annoying. Very good toiletries and complimentary water in the fridge.
