We booked a four night stay at Coogee Bay Boutique Hotel, and while the room itself was beautiful and the location was great, there were some major drawbacks. For starters, we were travelling as a couple with a baby, and the room we were put in was on the second floor in a part of the building that had no lift. Really nice rooms, comfortable bed, very clean, lots of charm and character. The gent on reception who checked us in was one of the most pleasant receptionist team members I've been greeted by. Natasha in events was very prompt, helpful and courteous also.

Had to change dates due to travel disaster but the wonderful Vicki not only squeezed us in she gave us a complimentary upgrade. The room was everything we needed and more. Lovely balcony, plenty of space with beautiful bathroom products. Offered parking for our over height van. Brilliant location. What a wonderful few days!

I would rate this stay –1 star if I could. While I understand the hotel notes upon booking that weekends can be noisy, the level of noise was absolutely unacceptable. It was impossible to get any rest, and management needs to take genuine steps to address this issue rather than just disclaiming it in advance. On top of that, the room itself was in very poor condition. The windows were filthy, and the bed and surrounding furniture were dirty and clearly not properly cleaned before our arrival.
